UCSD East Campus Neighborhood Planning Study

This planning study serves to reinforce the planning principles identified in the 1989 Master Plan Study. Spurlock’s studies specifically focused
on the creation of a physical framework that establishes and reinforces interdependent and integrated uses to maximize efficiencies between diverse programs; Creation of a physical, functional and symbolic bridge between the campus, this neighborhood and the San Diego community; Sustainability through appropriate site selection and use, building design, materials, best management practices, and circulation systems consistent with current University of California sustainable policies.
