Nautilus Park

Nautilus Park is part of a transformative concept for an existing life-science laboratory campus. The project included the re-imagining of three campus buildings along with a completely redesigned hardscape and planting scheme. Our vision for the landscape design was to create a unique and inviting central core, where a variety of amenity spaces sit within a productive organic garden. Raised vegetable beds, trellis vines, herb gardens and orchards are the backdrop to a barbeque lounge, ping-pong terrace, event lawn and bistro with outdoor dining. All of which are surrounded by extensive groves of mature Eucalyptus, California Sycamore, and Aleppo Pine trees. Underlying these “visible” organics is an open storm water drainage system, using cobble and boulder arroyos to filter runoff from parking and hardscape areas.
